70% have access to dentists

Doncaster health workers are pleased after placing a record number of new patients with NHS dentists for the second month on the trot. In October, Doncaster PCT Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) put 1,280 new people in touch with a local dentist, 193 more than September's previous best of 1,087.

The new monthly record was announced on the back of newly released NHS figures which revealed that Doncaster residents have a better opportunity of seeing an NHS dentist than anywhere in the Yorkshire and Humber region. Currently, 70 per cent of the Doncaster population have access to a dentist.
